Road Trips

Sherman // Austin // Peru //
Haiti
// Dominican Republic // Memphis // Beirut

At Hill Country Bible Church UT, we believe life is about mission and we strive to mobilize our people to live that out. Whether that means sharing the Gospel with your neighbor or committing to being a full-time missionary in the Middle East, we believe we are called to live on mission. Our mission initiatives, Road Trips, are a central component to the culture of our ministry.

During the spring break week of each school year, Hill Country UT sends out a handful of trips to various locations around the world, both domestic and international, to experience life on mission with other ministries who are striving to spread the Gospel of Jesus. This year, we will be traveling to seven different locations ranging from a local trip in Austin to a campus ministry with missionaries in Beirut, Lebanon. Most of these locations will be repeat visits from last year’s Road Trips. However, we will be teaming up with a relief effort in Haiti to serve the community there as best we can in continuing restoration of the devastation caused by the recent earthquake.

We will also be sending monthly trips to the border town of Piedras Negras, Mexico to partner with a local church, Mission Bethel, to work in an impoverished community and build relationships with the children and their parents. Over the past few years, we have developed a deep relationship with the local ministry there and are excited for the opportunity to continue pouring into them however we can.

Our hope through Road Trips is that our people might get a taste of God’s vision for the world, experience the passion of other ministries, and bring it back to the campus of the University of Texas. The Lord has blessed us with the means to travel to these various ministries around the world, but out primary mission field is the campus and it is this mission that drives all that we do.

Be on the lookout for updates to Road Trips 2012 and come along on one of these trips us as we experience life on mission together.
